Renowned sarangi maestro Kamal Sabri has added another milestone to his musical journey by receiving the Global Iconic Artist Award in London. The honor was presented at the World Heart Beat Awards 2026 during the “Peace Through Music” concert.


This recognition highlights Sabri’s continuous efforts to take the traditional instrument sarangi beyond its roots and introduce it to global audiences.


Belonging to the seventh generation of the Moradabad gharana, Kamal Sabri is the son of legendary sarangi player Ustad Sabri Khan. He has played a significant role in promoting Indian classical music on international platforms.


Reacting to the honor, Sabri expressed that while receiving the award is a proud moment, it also comes with great responsibility. He emphasized his commitment to further spreading Indian classical music across the world.
