Taking a stern stand, the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) Chairperson, Renu Bhatia, has directed the Panipat and Panchkula police to initiate arrest proceedings against the rapper. The commission’s frustration stems from Badshah’s failure to appear for questioning despite multiple notices. As a result, the Commission has announced that until the investigation is cleared, no musical shows or concerts by Badshah will be permitted anywhere in the state of Haryana.

Why is the Song 'Tateeree' Under Fire?

The core of the dispute lies in the lyrics of the recently released song. Multiple organizations and the Women’s Commission allege that the song contains objectionable language that disrespects the dignity of women. Following these complaints, a formal investigation was launched. However, the rapper’s repeated absence from the scheduled hearings has escalated the situation into a legal standoff.

Stricter Measures: Passport Seizure Requested

Chairperson Renu Bhatia emphasized that the commission is committed to protecting the honor of the daughters of Haryana.
"The Commission has directed the police to take strict action if necessary. We have also requested the authorities to seize Badshah’s passport to ensure he does not leave the country while the probe is ongoing," she stated.
Furthermore, the Uttarakhand State Commission for Women has also extended its support to Haryana in this matter. As the entertainment industry watches closely, the pressure is mounting on the rapper to address these serious allegations.
