Shilpa Rao, known for her work across Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil cinema, first gained recognition with “Tose Naina / Javeda Zindagi” from Anwar (2007). Over the years, she has delivered several popular tracks including “Khuda Jaane,” “Ghungroo,” “Besharam Rang,” and “Chaleya.”


Her recent releases have also earned critical acclaim and awards. “Ghungroo” won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer, while “Besharam Rang” and “Chaleya” received multiple honours across Filmfare, Zee Cine Awards, and the National Film Awards. In Telugu, “Chuttamalle” won her Best Female Playback Singer at the SIIMA Awards.


Beyond film music, she has collaborated on projects like “Love Letters” with Anoushka Shankar and appeared on platforms such as Coke Studio, expanding her reach across formats and audiences.
