The Swedish recorded music market has shown steady growth in 2025, reaching a total value of over SEK 2.3 billion (approximately 234 million dollars). According to the latest data from IFPI Sweden, the market grew by 3 percent year on year, driven almost entirely by the massive popularity of paid streaming subscriptions.
In the country that gave birth to Spotify, streaming continues to be the primary way people consume music. Subscription based audio revenue alone accounted for a staggering 85 percent of all music earnings in Sweden last year.
